Charlotte House ~ October Newsletter

Charlotte House ~ October Newsletter

4th of February, 2021

Rachael's birthday fell right at the end of September, but we celebrated it on 1st October. Happy 30th Birthday Rachae.

Penny and Denise also celebrated birthdays in October. Penny celebrated with the staff at head office and with family. Denise had a well-deserved break and celebrated with her family.

At the end of September Charlotte House held an event to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. Charlotte House was trimmed with bunting and looked amazing.

There were lots of stalls, including a very attractive handbag stall.

Guess the weight of the cake went down a storm and we had a very happy winner.

There were wonderful refreshments on offer. All proceeds going to the work of Macmillan Cancer Support.

We had a number of raffles and guess the name of the Teddy Bear. The ladies who won were very happy indeed. Their smiles say it all!

Thank you to the staff at Charlotte House, the service users, family members and visitors for making this a day to remember and for raising a fabulous £300.

The guys at Charlotte House love a trip out. They also love ice-cream! Put the two together and what do you get? A trip out to enjoy ice-cream.

You also get smiles all the way, bright enough to bring sunshine to the dullest day. Keep smiling guys.

Winter is also a great time for hot chocolate. It warms the cockles of your heart.

We have been working on a new flyer to promote the wonderful work of Charlotte House. The staff and the guys from Charlotte House very kindly agreed to a photo-shoot.

Don't they look amazing.

Review from Homecare.co.uk - Delta Care Blackpool

My dad lives with us he is 89 years old We have had amazing care, especially from 2 particular carers. I have been in the care business either working myself or with different family members and know enough of what goes on I was not looking forward to going through the care at home again But my worries were taken away when Neil and Declan started to help with the care for dad these 2 men go above and beyond to help, my dad had a stroke taking time and patients with my dad he is back out of bed short walks to get him out in the wheelchair for short trips out to the cafe or a push along the promenade. Something my dad thought he would never do again. My dad always tells me he's very lucky to have such good carers, Delta has had good communications, and most of the time, timekeeping is good we as a family are very pleased that Delta takes care of my dad's care package and would recommend them If there was an award for carers I would put forward Neil and Declan they are amazing.
